Being a mom of two grown kids I realize how fast time goes by. Before you know it the house will be empty, the kids will be grown and off to college or with families of their own, maybe living far away. They will only come by to visit for holidays. Their lives will be busy and the life they had as children went by so quickly.

Professional portraiture by Fraley Photography will preserve their children's heritage by providing creative imagery, simplistic style and enduring quality. With framed and ready to hang prints and artfully designed albums they can pass these down to future generations.

With over 35 years of experience in art and photography I'm able to look for and capture a moment in time that most people would overlook. I provide quality art work and an emotional experience for families to help them preserve the little moments that will be gone in a blink of an eye.

If you would like to commission me to photograph your family the first step is to contact either by phone (360)977-7048 or email

About Tammy

My name is Tammy Fraley. I’m a professional photographer in the Vancouver, WA area. I’m also married with two grown boys, or shall I say men.

I’ve had an interest in photography for as long as I can remember and I always wanted to make this my career. I would have started my career long before I did, but like most young women I got married and had children. I decided that raising my children was the most important job I could do first, and it was. When my youngest son was 6 years old he was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. At the time I never heard of that. I wasn’t sure what it meant for him or his future. One thing I discovered very quickly was this diagnosis made school a nightmare for him and me. I spent many years going to IEP meetings, parent teacher meeting, fighting with the schools to provide my son with the services he needed. It was stressful and exhausting and at times I was truly afraid for his future. When he was in 8th grade he was put in a program that turned his life around for the better. He spent two years there and was able to be mainstreamed into high school, and he was able to graduate with his class.

Along this journey with my son I realized something. I realized that I had unconditional love for him. No matter what he did or what he believed I would be there for him. I also realized I had patience and lots of it. Before I had kids I didn’t know what that word meant. And I also learned that I had strength. Strength to overcome whatever I was faced with.

Now my son is living on his own in his very first apartment and doing well. He will always need some assistance from his family and he will never quit taking his computers apart and rebuilding them, but he loves his independence and his future looks bright.

I’m pretty sure that without the challenges we’ve been through together I wouldn’t have had the strength or courage to start my own business. I’m so grateful for who we both have become through these challenges. Now every time I take portraits for a client, my heart sings because I get to do what I love and provide my client with an heirloom that you love and will cherish forever.

Because of my son I’ve met many great kids and families. To see my portrait work with these great kids CLICK HERE.
